To all those who attended the Ulympics well done. Everybody had a great time and the events were fiercely contested. It was good to see the Glasshouse branch take overall honours and there was fair amount of ribbing when Redlands branch came up trumps with the wooden spoon. At the end of the day it was good to see some friendly rivalry between the branches. Maybe some of the other south-east branches will attend next year if they think they have what it takes to be a competitive ulyssian in the true spirit of our great club.

The local LIONS Club working with the Stanley River Hotel put on terrific meals and our sincerest thanks go out to them. The local council CEO and his councillors attended and lent their support to the event and this was gratefull appreciated. As a result of the efforts of everybody who attended the local Rural fire brigade received a doantion of $1,000.

This event will be held at the same venue next year so keep your calendar free for the 25th and 26th of October 2008. See You there.
